Put life and personality into your landscapes!
In Michael Orwick's workshops you will learn the fundamentals of landscape painting and the importance of observation, rather than formulas and recipes. Through instruction, demonstrations and critiques you will explore composition, design, value, color harmony, brushwork and edges.
Each day will include a demonstration, a group discussion about painting techniques, materials and philosophy together with individual instruction at your easel.

Join Eric Jacobsen and Michael Orwick in scenic Cannon Beach, Oregon, for 5 days of painting spectacular coastal scenery.
This workshop is open to oil painters of any level. Look forward to lots of personal painting time and help every day. Demonstrations will be directed at oil painters, but concepts and principles will apply to all media. So many views and scenes to choose from! Eric and Michael often like to paint the light of morning and evening best and always welcome their students to join them for informal sunrise / sunset paint outs (no extra fee).
