Painting Nature in Oils and Acrylics with Landscape Painter Michael Orwick, 4-7PM, March 18 & 19
Date: March 18, 2013
What is it that draws us in and makes us want to explore a painting? learn the fundamentals that go into successful landscape paintings. We start with composition and how to establish large shapes first, abstract certain areas, develop a focal point, work from dark to light, and capture the illusion of reality through color. Michael is a very hands on painter who loves to share his knowledge and joy in painting. Learn from painting along with and from watching demos. Painting is hard, lets face it. But when broken down to simple subjects with achievable objectives we can make the process fun and rewarding! Amaze yourself and your friends with what you can learn to paint, you just need the courage to give it a shot.
This workshop includes two, three hour sessions, March 18 and 19 from 4-7 PM.
Classes will be held in the Strickland Visual Arts Studio at Chehalem Cultural Center.
No materials fee to instructor.
