See the Artwork Download the  Art Book Meet the Artists Other News in the Gallery The  Art of The Allison is a private collection representing over one hundred local and regional artists working in diverse media including fiber, glass, sculpture, wood, photography and paintings. The collection focuses on the natural beauty of Oregon and celebrates the bounty of our great state. It is a growing collection that includes six commissioned works by local painters and fused glass artists. The majority of the art was purchased from local artists responding to an invitation to submit work.  The Art of the Allison Curators (left to right) Celia Austin, Ken Austin,  Loni Austin Parrish & Joan Austin    The decision to use original Oregon Art to adorn The Allison was an easy one. Joan and her family have a long tradition of supporting the arts in their home state. Whether they are giving access to cultural opportunities through partnerships and programming, creating Art Festivals or developing Regional Art Centers or the community, art is a passion and a privilege that is near and dear to the family heart. It is this love of art and commitment to their community that drove the Art of The Allison Collection. Art Elements Gallery's owner Loni Parrish, along with her family, curated  the private collection at The Allison Inn & Spa in 2009, featuring over 100 Oregon artists and 500 works of original art. Loni's family have a long tradition of supporting the arts in their home state. It is this love of art and commitment to their community that drove the Art of The Allison Collection. Each of the 85 suites has at least three pieces of original art. 37 paintings, sculptures and glass are available for the public to enjoy, in addition to a substantial collection in the Spa. Even Staff and Administration offices are filled with original art. As a surprise, Loni presented her mother with the Art of the Allison Collection book that she and a team of artists published. Now in it's second edition, this vast project includes artists portraits in their own home or studio, artist statements, a walking tour of the public art and a index of the artists in each of the room.
